About Ross

Welcome to my website!

I was the Scottish Conservative candidate for the Gordon Westminster constituency in the 2010 General Election, for the Holyrood constituency of Aberdeen Donside in the 2011 Scottish Parliamentary election and I was the Conservative candidate for the Aberdeen City Council by-election in Dyce, Bucksburn and Danestone on May 19th 2011.

In 2007 , for experience, I stood for election to the Scottish Parliament in Coatbridge and Chryston. In a Labour stronghold seat I managed to increase the Scottish Conservative share of the vote. When I was the Conservative candidate for the Gordon constituency in the 2010 General Election I increased the Conservative share of the vote by 1269 votes and solidified the Conservative position in the seat. In the Scottish Parliament election I again increased the Conservative share of the vote, overtaking the Lib Dems and secured 3rd place comfortably. In the Dyce, Bucksburn and Danestone by-election I again won over people who had never voted Conservative before and on a turn out of 29% and in a ward with no Conservative representation managed to increase our share of the vote yet again providing a springboard for a Conservative win in the ward in 2012.

I currently work full time in Dyce in the banking sector.

I have lived in the North East all my life. I attended Bridge of Don Academy and I graduated from the University of Aberdeen with First Class Honours in Politics and International Relations.

I enjoy watching DVDs, going to the cinema, listening to music, meeting up with friends and family, going on walks and reading.

Thanks for taking the time out to visit my site!

  3. Hi Ross you will definately be getting our vote it is great that someone so young cares about what is happening in politics. And good to see a fellow graduate of Aberdeen Uni using his talents for a good cause. We especially agree with the page on Anti ID cards.
