Getting Aberdeen Moving Again

Scottish Conservative candidate for Aberdeen Donside, Ross Thomson, has told local people that getting Aberdeen out of constant gridlock and moving again is his priority.

Ross says,

“Aberdeen has been badly let down by politicians of different political colours over the years. There has been plenty of nice words about fixing our decaying roads, funding for the AWPR and fixing the nightmare Haudagain roundabout. However, there has been very little action.”

“Aberdeen’s poor infrastructure is bad for local business, bad for the local economy and is the source of most local anger and frustration. Aberdeen’s infrastructure has been ignored by local politicians for too long. It is time for action. Local people tell me that they desperately want to see something done about the shocking state of our roads. I am making infrastructure and getting Aberdeen out of gridlock and moving again my main priority in the upcoming Holyrood election and council by-election.”

“Improving city infrastructure is vital for connectivity. Increased connectivity will provide a better environment in Aberdeen for new and existing bussinesses in Aberdeen to work and grow. This will support the local economy and protect local jobs as well as creating new ones.”

“I want to see the Haudagain round about sorted, the 3rd Don crossing built, the A96 dualled, better transport links including an increased rail service between Dyce and the city centre and the extension of the new High Speed Rail not only to Scotland but to Aberdeen.

“It’s time to end motorist misery and pull Aberdeen firmly in the 21st century with infrastructure fit for purpose.”
