War on Waste

The Scottish Conservatives have launched a new website War on Waste: www.waronwaste.org.uk which allows members of the public to share their experiences of where public money is being wasted, and where money can be saved.

Ross Thomson, Scottish Conservative candidate for Aberdeen Donside, says:

“This is an important new initiative. Due to Labour’s economic incompetence and legacy of debt savings will have to be made across the public sector in Scotland to get our economy back on its feet. Scottish Conservatives want to tackle wasteful Government spending so that we can protect frontline public services and stop taxes going up.

“Yet again Alex Salmond is complaining about having to make savings. If he spent as much time trying to save money as he does complaining we would all be better off. It is so frustrating for those who use, and those who work in them, to see money wasted on non-essential items when savings have to be made. We want to hear your examples of where money is being wasted in Scottish public services and your ideas of how we can save money.”
